Helping your parents from out of town
You cannot see the loose handrail from four hundred miles away. We can — and we will show you exactly what we found, in photos, after every visit.
The visit is free. Nothing happens in the house without your parent's yes.

You do not have to be in the room to know what is going on
Quick answer. If you live out of town, you can join the free home visit by video or speakerphone, name everyone who should get the report, and read every quote before a single thing is approved. Visits are scheduled with your parent. The bill can come to you.
Most families we talk to did not plan this. Work moved. The grandchildren are here. The house was always going to be fine, and then one winter the stairs got harder.
Living somewhere else does not mean you stopped paying attention. It means you cannot see the house. That part we can actually fix — with photographs, written prices, and the same crew going back each time.
And the person who decides what happens is still your mother or your father. We work for the household, not around it.
What happens when you live somewhere else
Five steps. None of them require you to take a flight.
-
You set it up from where you are
Book online or call us. Tell us who lives in the house and what is worrying you. We then confirm the day and the arrival window with your parent directly — with them, not around them.
-
Join the visit by video or speakerphone
Ask for this when you book. We call you when we arrive, walk the rooms with the camera on, and you can ask questions as we go. It is the closest thing to standing in the hallway yourself.
-
Everyone gets the same paperwork
A written, prioritized report and a fixed-price quote, emailed to every person you name. Life-safety items first, comfort last. Nothing starts until it is approved in writing, and the price does not move afterwards.
-
A photo report lands within 24 hours of every visit
This comes with the Home Care Plan: what we checked, what we fixed, anything we noticed, and the cost to fix it if there is one. It opens straight from the email — no login, no password to remember.
-
If something worries us, we call you
Not a line buried on page three. A phone call. You decide what to do with it.
See the house without being in it
Every Home Care Plan visit ends with a photo report. It is the thing families tell us they actually wanted all along: proof that someone trustworthy was in the house, and that the house is okay.
- Emailed within 24 hours of every visit
- Sent to as many family members as you name
- Opens from the email — no login, no password
- Quotes and invoices arrive the same way
The same people, every time
Your parent should not have to meet a stranger every visit, and you should not have to wonder who is in the house. We are a small company on purpose.
- Background-checked, and named on your quote
- A phone call before they come — never a surprise knock
- An arrival window, not "sometime Tuesday"
- A written quote before anything extra is done
The bill can come to you. The visits go to your parent.
These are two different jobs, and we keep them separate on purpose.
Who we schedule with
Your mother or father. They confirm the day, they answer the door, and they say yes or no to every recommendation. We do not take instructions about someone's home from anyone else without their say-so.
Who gets the report and the bill
Whoever you tell us. The report can go to four siblings in four states. The invoice can go to one of you. Both open from an email link, so nobody is hunting for a password.
No contracts, and no retention script. The Home Care Plan can be paused or cancelled with one phone call. There are no fees for stopping, and nobody will try to talk you out of it. If your parent moves in with you next spring, that is a good outcome, not a lost account.

Funding helpGrants and paperwork
VA, Texas Medicaid waivers, city and rural programs. Ten questions, an honest map of what might fit, and no charge for the help.
What we are not
We are not a home-care agency, and we are not medical people. We do not provide personal care, nursing, medication help, or supervision. We look after the house, and we tell you what we see in it.
Nothing on this page is medical, legal, financial, or tax advice.
If what you actually need is care at home, two free phone calls point almost anyone in the right direction: the Eldercare Locator at 1-800-677-1116, and 2-1-1 Texas — just dial 2-1-1. We will happily say so on the phone rather than sell you a visit you do not need.
Questions from families out of state
Do I have to be there for the home visit?
No. Your parent needs to be there, because it is their home and their decision. You can join by video call or speakerphone from wherever you are — just ask us when you book, and we will call you when we arrive and walk the rooms with you.
If the timing does not work, the written report and photos come to you afterwards either way.
Can the bill come to me while the visits go to my mother?
Yes. We can list you as the billing contact and your mother as the person we schedule with. Invoices come to you by email and open with one tap — no login and no password. Your mother still approves what happens in her home.
Who can receive the report after a visit?
Anyone you name. There is no limit and no charge, and each person gets the same report — photos of what was checked, what was fixed, anything we noticed, and any written quote.
It opens from the email without a login, which matters when the recipient is 84, and when you are reading it on a phone in an airport.
What if my father says he does not want anything done?
Then nothing gets done. He is the decision-maker — not us, and not you. What we can do is leave him a written, prioritized report he can sit with, and a fixed price for each item so nothing is a mystery.
Plenty of families start with one grab bar and revisit the rest a year later. That is a normal, good outcome. Our guide to talking with aging parents may help with the conversation.
How quickly can someone get out to my parent's house?
For a free in-home safety assessment we can usually schedule within the same week. If something is genuinely unsafe — a loose handrail, a step with no light — say so when you call and we will tell you honestly how fast we can get there. We would rather give you a real date than a comfortable one.
Do you work in the town where my parents live?
We serve Austin, Georgetown and Sun City, Lakeway and Lake Travis, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, Bulverde and Spring Branch, Marble Falls and Horseshoe Bay, Lago Vista, Fredericksburg, Boerne, Seguin, Lockhart and Luling, and Bastrop and Smithville. See the full list of service areas, or call or text (512) 222-8834 with the address and we will confirm right away.
